IT'S amazing the difference an Old Firm win can make and Celtic return to action this week after the international break on a high.
That's a vast contrast to the mood of their fans heading into their last match at Ibrox, but a Kyogo Furuhashi goal silenced the stadium and sent Celtic four points clear of their rivals.
They welcome a Dundee side who have started the season promisingly under Tony Docherty and will be aggrieved not to have more points.
They threw away a two-goal lead at rivals St Johnstone, but it's been a more than decent start to the newly promoted side after they beat Hearts at home and drew with in-form Motherwell.
Celtic will want to prove their previous week's goalless draw at home to St Johnstone was a mere blip and they certainly looked more like themselves in Govan.
Liam Scales and Daizen Maeda for example – who both had torrid games the week before – were excellent and remember this was a Hoops side with major injury problems.
But it's a free hit for Dundee who have absolutely nothing to lose and are unlikely to park the bus at Parkhead.
How the bookies view it
It's the usual mismatch as far as the bookies are concerned. Celtic are an unbackable 1/10 in placeds although there is a touch of 1/8 with Coral for the accas.
Dundee are as big as 22/1 with Betfair and the draw is 17/2 with Paddy Power.
Recent head to heads
Celtic have won the last six meetings between the clubs which isn't a shock really. It's 22 years since Dundee last triumphed at Parkhead in a 2-0 win thanks to a double from Fabian Caballero.
Players to watch
With Kyogo Furuhashi as low as 4/7 to score, it's best to look for value elsewhere. Matt O'Riley was denied by a couple of great saves in their last home game against St Johnstone and there coud be value in the 15/8 with bet365 for him to net.
Lyall Cameron impressed during the week with Scotland Under 21s and could have scored in Spain. The youngster is 11/1 to score anytime with Paddy Power.
Anything else catch the eye?
Dundee can make a game of this, although Celtic should be too strong for them. They've scored in every league game this season and they can cover the two-goal handicap with McBookie.com at 7/5.
There could even be a bit of after the Lord Mayor's show with the Hoops and they still look well short of the swashbuckling side of last season under Ange Postecoglou. They also have their opening Champions League tie against Feyenoord on Tuesday so could rotate.
But Danish Under 21s star O'Riley will get into promising positions and could net on Saturday as stated. He's playing well at the moment.
