Chelsea will be looking to maintain their recent good form as they travel to Burnley for a Premier League fixture on Saturday. Burnley are coming off their first win of the season but the Blues have shown signs of improvement lately and should edge a tight encounter.
Burnley are finally off the mark for the season after claiming a 2-1 victory over fellow promoted side Luton Town last time out in the Premier League. Goals in each half from Lyle Foster and Jacob Bruun Larsen were enough to give them all three points.
It has been a difficult campaign for Burnley with Vincent Kompany’s insistence on an attacking philosophy often yielding little results. Having finally got off the mark for the season, the next step for the Clarets will be to climb out of the bottom three.
Burnley might be on a high following the win at Luton Town, but their record at Turf Moor has been disappointing so far. They have lost all four of their home matches this season, failing to score in two of those fixtures.
Chelsea are also coming off a win after easing to a 2-0 victory at Fulham in their previous Premier League fixture. They made a fast start with first half efforts from Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja enough to earn them all three points.
That was the second straight win for Chelsea, who also picked up a 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over Brighton prior to the trip to Fulham. Mauricio Pochettino’s men are now just outside the top half of the table and will be keen to maintain their resurgence.
The key to Chelsea’s recent improvements could be a reshuffle in defence with Marc Cucurella playing right back in the last two fixtures and Levi Colwill at left back in the win over Fulham. The Blues have now kept clean sheets in three of their last four matches across all competitions.

Players to watch
In the midst of Chelsea’s defensive reshuffle, Thiago Silva has remained constant at the heart of the backline. The Brazilian centre-back will play a pivotal role as the Blues are targeting a third straight clean sheet at 6/4 with William Hill.
At the other end of the pitch, Armando Broja could be given the nod in attack once again after a solid showing at Craven Cottage. Unibet is offering odds of 9/4 on the striker to score anytime at Turf Moor.
