BORUSSIA DORTMUND and AC Milan are two of the great names in Champions League history and they have a heavyweight showdown in Germany on game day two of the group stages.
Both sides are in need of a win after suffering varying degrees of disappointment. Dortmund went down to a 2-0 defeat in France after PSG proved too strong for them.
And Milan failed to break down the stubborn resistance of Newcastle at the San Siro and had to settle for a goalless draw in their opening game despite dominating.
Domestically, both teams can take optimism for this. For Dortmund, that defeat in Paris has been their only loss this term. They have now won three games in a row in the Bundesliga and two of those were away from home.
They were also given additional time to recover after German football bosses moved their last game against Hoffenheim to Friday night and they won 3-1.
Milan have had one major blip and what a blip it was when they were hammered 5-1 ‘away' in the San Siro to Inter. But they have recovered well and, like Dortmund, they have also won three games in a row in Serie A with two clean sheets and were too strong for Lazio on Saturday.

This will be the first time these clubs have met for 21 years. The last time they met in the Champions League, there were a pair of 1-0 away wins on both occasions.

There's a reason there is not much in the betting between the teams – it has draw written all over it.
