Monday’s football tips: Sunderland star Sadiki 7/2 for another card in battle with Everton.

Sunderland have been one of the stories of the Premier League season and can move up to second in the table if they beat Everton tonight.

The Black Cats were among the favourites for relegation after coming up via the play-offs but they've defied the odds after a summer splurge in the transfer market.

Regis Le Bris' men have won five of their nine games so far and another victory tonight would leave them just five points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Sunderland vs Everton top betting tips

Everton's unbeaten record at their new stadium came crashing to an end last weekend with a 3-0 loss to Spurs to David Moyes will be desperate to bounce back at the Stadium of Light.

The Toffees haven't been great on their travels this season, losing four out of five in all competitions, so Sunderland could be worth a punt at 15/8 with home advantage.

It should be a close game and has the potential to be a war of attrition so the half-time draw is another decent option, although the odds aren't great at 10/11 with BOYLE Sports.

Noah Sadiki has brought some steel to the Sunderland midfield and has already picked up three yellow cards. The 20-year-old is 7/2 at BOYLE Sports to go into the book again and 7/4 at Bet365 to commit over 1.5 fouls.

Sassuolo vs Genoa

Sassuolo are Italy's answer to Sunderland, with the promoted side winning four of their nine Serie A games so far in an excellent start to the season.

They host Genoa tonight and will fancy their chances of another victory with their opponents in disarray after sacking manager Partrick Vieira.

A horror run of nine games without a Serie A win has left Genoa propping up the table so it wasn't a huge surprise when the Arsenal legend got his jotters.

Sassuolo have won three of their last five so I'm surprised to see them as big as 7/5 with BOYLE Sports for this one. That looks well worth a punt with Genoa in such wretched form.

Three of Sassuolo's five home games this season have hit double figures for corners so over 8.5 flag kicks also looks a decent option at 23/20.

Real Oviedo vs Osasuna

There's one game in La Liga tonight and it's a big one at the bottom as Real Oviedo look to move out of the drop zone with a win over Osasuna.

Real Oviedo sit second bottom after winning just two of their first 10 league games but things are pretty congested at the foot of the table.

A win tonight would fire them up a few places and also move them level on points with tonight's opponents.

Osasuna have lost every away game so far in La Liga, albeit they've had some tough fixtures, travelling to both Madrid clubs, Espanyol and Villarreal.

That makes tonight's game a tough one to call and it's reflected in the odds, with Oviedo at 19/10 and Osasuna priced at 13/8. 

The half-time draw looks good again here and it pays 20/23 at BOYLE Sports but the best option is probably going for cards. 

Both teams are desperate for points so it could be a busy night for the ref. I've yet to see any prices for total cards but there is a market on players getting into trouble. 

Osasuna defender Flavien Enzo Boyomo has picked up three yellows in La Liga this season and is 7/2 to go into the book again.
