Monday’s football tips: Rangers a tempting 29/20 to beat Hearts and keep title hopes alive

It's crunch time in a thrilling SPFL Premiership title race and tonight's Tynecastle clash between Hearts and Rangers is massive.

A surprise 3-2 loss at home to Motherwell last weekend has left Rangers four points behind the Jambos with just four games to play.

Another defeat in the capital would effectively end the title hopes of Danny Rohl's side but if they win then it means the top three will separated by a single point heading down the final furlong.

Heart of Midlothian vs Rangers top betting tips

Celtic's victory over Hibs at Easter Road moved them level on points with Hearts at the top so I'm expecting Derek McInnes to go for a win tonight with home advantage.

A draw doesn't suit Rangers either so it should be a decent game, especially with BTTS and over 2.5 goals landing in the last two meetings.

Combining those bets tonight pays 21/20 at Coral and that looks worth a punt, having landed in the last four games for Rohl's side.

This has been such a mad season that I've a feeling all three title hopefuls will still be in with a shout on the final day. For that to happen, Rangers probably need a win tonight so I'm going to back them to edge it at 29/20 with Ladbrokes.

Everton vs Manchester City

There's a big game in the Premier League title race as well tonight as Manchester City look to cut into Arsenal's lead with a win away to Everton.

The Gunners are now six clear at the top after easing past Fulham on Saturday but this is the first of two games in hand for Pep Guardiola's side.

Manchester City have won their last six matches in all competitions but weren't very convincing on their last away day as they ground out a 1-0 victory at Burnley.

The Clarets had a few sights of goal in that game and Everton possess much more quality in attack so I've a feeling the Toffees will score tonight.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have a huge European date looming at Villa Park but can't afford to take their eye off the ball against Chelsea this afternoon as they fight for Premier League survival.

Vitor Pereira's side take on Aston Villa in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final just three days after their trip to Stamford Bridge so it will be interesting to see how strong a team they field here.

Villa made a host of changes for their clash with Spurs and paid the price in a 2-1 defeat but they don't need the points as much as Forest do.

Tottenham now sit just two points behind Forest after that win while the gap to third-bottom West Ham is only three.

So they could do with taking something off Chelsea, although the Blues are 7/10 favourites with most firms.

After sacking Liam Rosenior, Chelsea won last week's FA Cup semi-final with Leeds but remain an unpredictable team so I'm steering clear of backing a result.

The home side should have most of the pressure so I'm going to back Chelsea at -2 in the corner handicap, which pays evens at SkyBet.

Joao Pedro should lead the line for the Blues and he's a decent 7/5 with Bet365 to take his tally for the season to 20 goals.
