Welcome back to MFT’s 10-1,000 betting challenge, where we aim for a 100x return on the original investment via a small stake betting strategy, prioritising low risk and low odds en route to a long-term target.

We completed the challenge last time out and how route to 1,000 can be found here: MFT 10 – 1000 Betting Challenge: Complete: This is how we did it.

We have now won 27 bets without a losing selection across the two challenges.

While this column is dedicated to high-probability tips, there is no guarantee of profit. If playing along, you should consider your own budget and confidence in the tip provided, and make your own decision whether to follow, cash out or continue at every stage. 18+, please gamble responsibly.

We will use a unit system for our stakes, allowing readers to set their own unit value that suits their own budget. For the sake of simplicity, for us, 1 unit = £1.

We will continue to transparently track our progress as far as we go on the path to 1,000, but will refresh our main tracking stake back to the starting point every time we surpass 100 units – a 10x ROI. As per our own rules we reset the betting balance back to 100 units on Bet17.

For the sake of consistency, all tips are placed using odds from bet365. It worth pointing out that with Bet365 we can paid out if our selection goes into a lead by two or more goals.

Southend and Tranmere saw four second half goals as Bet 5 finally won at the second attempted.

Bet 6 – Brentford vs Chelsea – Friday 18th September at 8pm

Brentford and Chelsea open the Premier League weekend at the Gtech Community Stadium on Friday. Over 1.5 match goals and Chelsea over 0.5 cards is the selection.

The goals condition has landed in all eight combined league fixtures involving these teams. Those matches have produced 30 goals, averaging 3.75 per game.

Brentford have scored seven times from 7.65 xG. Their 68 attempts include 50 from inside the penalty area, while 13 big chances show the quality of their attacking positions.

Chelsea’s four league games have produced 19 goals. Xabi Alonso’s side have scored ten and conceded nine, with every fixture finishing with at least three goals. Opponents have created 15 big chances and registered 26 shots on target against them.

The card leg also has a perfect early record. Chelsea have received at least one card in every league match, collecting nine in total. They were shown three at Fulham, one against Brighton, four at Arsenal and one against Hull.

Chelsea have collected two or more cards in two of four, but this bet only requires one. Their fixtures average 5.25 total cards, while Brentford’s opponents have been booked in three of four.

The selection does not rely on either team winning. Two match goals and one Chelsea card are enough.

  • Bet: Over 1.5 match goals & Chelsea over 0 cards
  • Odds: 2/9
  • Bank: 25.57 units returns 31.25
