Rizz has left Cairnzy in charge of Tuesday's racing. Rizz will return tomorrow evening with his selections for Wednesday's cards.
I caught some of yesterday's racing, mainly the bigger races of the day, which saw Lossiemouth run a lovely race in the December Hurdle. Paul Nicholls seemingly has a nice one in the shape of No Drama This End, who also ran a lovely race to land the Challow Hurdle.
Rizzel secured some profit on Monday, with Morodor filling the places at Doncaster. Rizz advised him eachway at 20s, but he did drift out to 28s before the off, and hopefully some took advantage of the drift or at least got BOG.
Rizzel's other selection was Rockola Vogue, who I thought ran a strange race. Jockey Kielan Woods had to niggle his mount along at times to keep him interested. As they approached the business end, he looked like he was going to stay on and land the spoils, but some sketchy jumping throughout took its toll, and he didn't find much in the run-in.
Ski Lodge 5/2 – Haydock 2.05
For my sole selection on Tuesday, I've opted to take a chance on Ski Lodge for trainer Alan King and jockey Thomas Bellamy.
The form of the Alan King yard is concerning, having had zero winners in the last 14 days from 19 runners, but he has had a few hit the crossbar for what it's worth.
He sends Ski Lodge to Haydock as his only runner on the card, and he looks to hold a decent chance of going one better this time around after finishing second last time out at Uttoxeter. My selection had the reopposing Sole Solution back in third on that occasion, and is actually 1lb better of this time around.
Ski Lodge was making his debut over fences last time out, and I thought he ran a great race on debut over the larger obstacles, but just bumped into another decent debutante over fences in David Pipe's Itseemslikeit. My selection looks sure to improve from the recent experience and looks a decent bet to turn over the current market leader in Sole Solution.
I was initially surprised to see Sole Solution marked up shorter than my selection. The Ventia Williams yard is not in great form either, and as already stated, her charge meets my selection on worse terms this time around.

PHILADELPHIA PARX -Race 3…ButterKisses 3/1
Close up on his last outing which was his first run at Philly and should come on for it with top trainer/jockey combo helping his cause.
Race 8…..Law School 7/4
Missed the price on a his at 11/4 with the favourite being a NR but 7/4 will do
Quite lightly raced horse who stepped up to this trip for the first time on his last outing and was just denied. Runs in the same grade here
TURF PARADISE – Race 5…Sauycan 7/4
Race 8…Outmatched 12/1 Ew (QUITE sweet on this at a price)
Ships in from Prairie Meadows,Iowa and drops in class after to runs in Stakes races( Listed) which were both good but his 2nd a few races back was an excellent 2nd in a 75K Stakes.
This a 30K Stakes so it’s really a question of the standards of racing on Iowa which I say compares comparatively at least? It’s only his 4th outing
