Friday’s football tips: Go for goals at 7/5 as in-form Blades bid to cut down West Brom

Shefffield United have roared back to form after a horror start to the EFL Championship season but their revival faces a stiff test tonight on the road at West Bromwich Albion.

The Blades lost 12 of their first 15 games in all competitions this term but have since embarked on six-match unbeaten run.

That has fired them away from the drop zone but Chris Wilder's troops now take on a Baggies side who have lost just once at home all season.

West Bromwich Albion vs Sheffield United top betting tips

West Brom have lost their last two to QPR and Southampton but both those defeats came on the road and they've won two of their last three at the Hawthorns.

That makes this a tricky one to call and the stalemate looks a good option at a best 23/10 with BetVictor.

Sheffield United drew their last game 1-1 at home to Norwich but had scored three or more in their previous four fixtures.

Ayr United vs St Johnstone top betting tips

St Johnstone still lead the way in the SPFL Championship but they've started to wobble a bit and have won just one of their last five games in all competitions.

Saints face a test of title mettle tonight away to an Ayr United side who sit fourth in the table, 11 points behind the leaders.

The Honest Men are unbeaten in six and have won three of their last four so could offer a bit of value at 21/10 with Betfred.

Scott Brown's side need a victory to keep their own faint title hopes alive so it should be an open game.

We could see a few corners as both teams press for the points so over 10.5 flag kicks looks worth a punt at 6/5 with Bet365.

Real Sociedad vs Girona

Girona are having another bad season in La Liga and it's hard to hold out much hope for them away to Real Sociedad tonight.

At this time last year, Girona were enjoying their first taste of Champions League football but juggling European and domestic commitments proved difficult last season.

They only finished one point above the drop zone and that poor La Liga form has continued into the new campaign.

Girona now find themselves sitting third bottom and they've won just twice inside 90 minutes in their 17 games in all competitions.

Real Sociedad are only four points above them after a difficult start to their own campaign but the Basques should be too strong in San Sebastian tonight.

The home win is a best 3/4 at Betway but adding on over 1.5 goals boosts the odds to 11/10 at Bet365.

Real Sociedad have won 17 corners across their last two La Liga games so backing them at -2.5 in the corner handicap could also pay off at evens with QuinnBet.
