Manchester City only just got over the line in their Premier League opener and have another test of nerve tonight on the road at Crystal Palace.
Enzo Maresca's side needed two goals in the last six minutes to salvage a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday, with Josko Gvardiol's stoppage-time winner only awarded after a VAR check.
They now face a Palace side who lost 2-0 at Everton in their opener and the Eagles will be desperate to bounce back with a win in front of their home support.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City
Crystal Palace fired blanks at the weekend but they carved out plenty of chances and could get some joy against a City defence that continues to look vulnerable.
It's now three Premier League games without a clean sheet for Manchester City and BTTS pays just 4/6 tonight. Adding on over 2.5 strikes will boost those odds to evens with Bet365.
Rayan Cherki made the difference for Maresca off the bench on Sunday, delivering two assists to help his side turn the game around.
The Frenchman should get the nod to start as Manchester City's playmaker tonight and he's evens with Bet365 for a goal or assist.
Wrexham vs Birmingham City
Wrexham and Birmingham City have made identical starts to the EFL Championship season so it should be a tight game when they face off in Wales tonight.
These clubs have been good for punters who bets on draws, with each of their two league games ending level.
But Bet365 make Wrexham slight favourites at 7/5 tonight, with the Blues 19/10 and another draw paying 23/10.
Those odds seem fair enough after Birmingham crashed 6-1 to Brentford in the League Cup on Tuesday night while the Welsh side had a free midweek, having bowed out in the last round.
An extra few days of rest could give FC Hollywood the edge so they look decent value at those odds.
The last three meetings at the Racecourse Ground have ended in 1-1 draws though so betting on a tight game looks safer. I fancy the half-time stalemate and it pays 11/10.
Dunfermline Athletic vs Raith Rovers
There's Championship action in the SPFL tonight as well and it should be a cracker as Dunfermline host Raith Rovers in a Fife derby.
The Pars were talked about as title contenders before a ball was kicked while few people expected Raith to make a push for promotion.
Yet it's Rovers who sit second after banking seven points from the first three games while Neil Lennon's side sit just above the drop zone having collected only two points.
Despite that early season form, the Kirkcaldy side are 31/20 outsiders tonight, with Dunfermline 6/4 favourites.
That's probably because the Pars have won the last four derbies at East End Park, conceding just one goal in the process, so they could be worth a punt to come out on top.
A feature of this fixture of late has been a lack of corners, with just one of the last eight hitting double figures. But we saw 18 in Dunfermline's last home game this season so I'm going for over 10 corners tonight at 11/8 with Bet365.

For the early kick off, BTTS have scored in the last 10 games involving Legia Warsaw. Furthermore, the hosts have seen OVER 1.5 match goals in their last 19 matches overall. BTTS should score here, which will contribute to seeing goals here in 90mins.
Moving over to the Premier League clash this evening. Palace have a realistic chance of scoring tonight. Although I accept this is not a banker, I can see city getting troubled this evening, especially with their shaky defence. One analysis of mine notes, that 65% of Pierre Sage’s Lens league games last season produced 3+ goals, suggesting he isn’t naturally inclined towards sitting back. Do you blame him?
Furthermore, let’s all accept that this is a new-look City team under Enzo Maresca. City may have beaten Bournemouth 2–1 in their opener, but they weren’t completely convincing defensively and had to come from behind.
Finally, this matchup has produced goals before. Palace have scored twice against City at Selhurst in recent seasons, including a 2–2 draw in December 2024. My statistical model currently BTTS for this game at around 52%, so it’s basically a genuine 50/50 proposition which I’m happy to include as part of my double and as always I am confident Palace can / will score today.
