The Tartan Army have invaded London and they're praying for a minor miracle at Wembley tonight.
The Scots have been written off by just about every pundit ahead of an historic clash with England in Group D and the bookies aren't giving them much of a chance to pull off a surprise result either. Well if I just woke up from a 200 year coma I would have watched that and honestly couldn’t tell you which was the home team, or who were the favourites.
That was a Scotland playing to their max and an England team that looked like they are playing in quick sand and with great restraint and not for the 1st time playing in the image of their dull, uninspiring manager.
Rio Ferdinand said “I’ve never been so confident about a result in a major tournament, England at least 2-0”
It’s that sort of attitude that drags England down.
Did their players go out with this over confidence ?.
There was no creativity in midfield, in fact Scotland dictated the pace of the game in the second half.
Loved the occasion, got to bring back the home internationals surely.
