Both seeking to bank three points at the second time of asking, Borussia Dortmund and Athletic Bilbao will do battle in the Champions League at the Westfalenstadion on Wednesday night.
Former European champions Borussia Dortmund looked set to be on course to claim a victory at Juventus on matchday one before conceding twice in injury time to draw 4-4 in Turin.
As for Athletic Bilbao, they put in a spirited display when hosting Arsenal but ultimately came away empty-handed as they fell to a 2-0 defeat.
The bookies odds suggest that the Basque Country outfit will come unstuck again this midweek, with Borussia Dortmund general 5/6 favourites to take top honours from this tussle.
However, I’m going to bypass the 1×2 market here and instead propose a player-based selection that looks well worthy of support.
Serhou Guirassy can be backed at 5/6 on PaddyPower to either score or assist during this showdown and that looks too big to ignore.
The Borussia Dortmund sharpshooter finished joint-top of last season's Champions League goalscoring charts, netting 13 times across his 14 appearances.
On top of that, the Guinean goal-getter posted an impressive return of 21 goals across his 30 appearances in last season’s Bundesliga, a tally topped only by Harry Kane.
Guirassy has carried that form into this season, striking four times in as many appearances in this season’s German top-flight.
While the 29-year-old failed to fire on matchday one against Juventus, he did provide an assist for one of the four goals that BVB did bag.
Back at their Westfalenstadion base and with their famous Yellow Wall behind them on Wednesday night, Guirassy looks well placed to register another goal involvement against an Athletic Bilbao side that have looked shaky at the back since the start of the season.
In fact, Ernesto Valverde’s side have failed to silence their opponents in seven of their eight matches across all competitions this season, and that only adds to the appeal of supporting a Guirassy goal or assist here at 5/6 on PaddyPower.
