Celtic vs Braga

, KO: 17:45 , Celtic Park
Braga

Celtic fans have postponed their silent protest against the board for this Europa League clash with Braga and boss Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that can help his side claim a big three points.

The Hoops could only draw 0-0 with Hibs on Saturday, ruining all my bets, as fed-up punters staged their first demonstration against the board over a lack of investment in the squad.

A longer silence was planned for tonight's match but it has been postponed after fan groups held a meeting with the club. However, with an early-evening kick-off and tickets sales slow, the famous Parkhead atmosphere on European nights still won't be in evidence.

That will help Braga as the Portuguese side bid to build on a 1-0 win over Dutch giants Feyenoord in their Europa League opener.

But they also have a support who are far from happy, with manager Carlos Vicens getting the white handkerchief treatment during Sunday's 1-0 loss to Nacional.

That made it five games without a domestic win for Braga so the manager desperately needs a victory in Glasgow to win over the doubters.

How the bookies view it: Hoops home free

Celtic were strong at home in the Champions League last season and BoyleSports make them 20/21 favourites for this one. Braga are priced at 14/5 and the draw pays 5/2.

Head to head: Happy Braga memories

These sides have faced off just once before, in the Champions League qualifiers back in 2010. Braga eased to a 3-0 win at home and Celtic's 2-1 win in the return wasn't enough to turn things around.

Players to watch: Iheanacho looking hungry

Kelechi Iheanacho has made a strong start to his Celtic career and scored in their 1-1 Europa League draw with Red Star Belgrade. He should start up front in this game and looks a bit overpriced at 9/4 with BoyleSports for anytime scorer.

Ricardo Horta netted 13 times for Braga last term and the experienced forward already has two goals to his name this season. He's 11/4 at BoyleSports to add to that tally here.

Probable line-ups

Anthony Ralston returned from injury for Celtic at the weekend and should start again here. Fellow stoppers Auston Trusty and Alistair Johnston remain sidelined along with winger Jota.

Braga remain without Mario Dorgeles and Jonatas Noro but otherwise have a pretty healthy squad.

Celtic: Schmeichel, Ralston, Scales, Carter-Vickers, Tierney, McGregor, Hatate, Nygren, Tounekti, Maeda, Iheanacho.

Braga: Hornicek, Niakate, Lagerbielke, Arrey-Mbi, Gomez, Lelo, J Moutinho, Moscardo, Ouazzani, Zalazar, Horta.

Anything else catch the eye?

Celtic have been slow starters this season and have only scored a first-half goal in three of their 11 games. So there could be some value in backing most goals to come after the break here at evens with BoyleSports.

The Hoops have 10 or more corners in four of their five home games this term so that's another market worth looking at. Over 10.5 match corners looks great value at 21/20 with BoyleSports while over 6.5 Celtic flag kicks is 6/4.

Braga stopper Gustaf Lagerbielke is up against his old club and will have a point to prove. He's 15/4 to be carded, which may be worth a speculative punt.
