Look for that trend to continue when Barcelona face an Atletico Madrid side that are currently enjoying a rich vein of form.
Diego Simeone's team have won each of their last seven matches across all competitions, with both teams scoring in three of the visitors' last five victories.
Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen (Tuesday, 20:00)
Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen will renew hostilities when the pair meet in a DFB-Pokal round of 16 tie on Tuesday night.
The two German giants went up against each other at the BayArena in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with Dortmund claiming an eye-catching 2-1 win.
With fixtures coming thick and fast for both teams, another game with goals at both ends looks like the way to go at the Westfalenstadion.
Moreover, both teams to score has been a running theme when Bayer Leverkusen have been involved this term, with each team obliging in nine of the visitors’ 12 German Bundesliga matches this season.
It’s also worth noting that BTTS would have been a winning selection in four of Die Werkself’s five German top-flight fixtures away from home this season.

While Athletic Bilbao are not necessarily a side that you would associate with BTTS fixtures, it may pay to go against the grain in the Basque Country this midweek.
What’s more, there have been goals at both ends in three of the Lions’ last five home matches across all competitions.
That theme could be one to follow again on Wednesday evening given that both teams have netted in five of Real Madrid’s last seven La Liga games away from their Santiago Bernabeu base.
