Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig (Saturday, 17:30)
Eintracht Frankfurt will be targeting back-to-back Bundesliga wins for only the third time this season when they lock horns with RB Leipzig on Saturday evening.
The Eagles come into this clash off the back of a 2-1 victory away at Wolfsburg last weekend, which landed a 9/1 winner for this column.
Frankfurt also helped deliver in last week’s winning BTTS Treble, and they make the cut again this weekend against Leipzig.
There have been goals at both ends in 20 of Frankfurt’s 29 Bundesliga matches this season, including each of their last three.
While RB Leipzig have not been quite as consistent on the BTTS front overall, their numbers have trended upwards in recent months.
In fact, both teams have scored in eight of the Red Bulls’ last 11 league matches, so all the signs point towards a repeat at Deutsche Bank Park on Saturday evening.
Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad (Saturday, 20:00)
Fresh from eliminating Barcelona from the Champions League, Atletico Madrid will turn their attention to a Copa del Rey final showdown with Real Sociedad on Saturday night.
Cup finals tend to be cagey affairs, but this one could buck that trend, particularly given Real Sociedad’s recent run of high-scoring matches.
The Basque outfit were involved in a barnstorming 3-3 draw with Alaves last weekend in La Liga, and goal-laden contests have become something of a theme in recent weeks.
That is underlined by the fact that both teams have scored in a league-high 25 of Real Sociedad’s 31 La Liga matches this season.
That sample also includes each of the White and Blues' two meetings with Atletico Madrid in the Spanish top-flight this term, the most recent of which was a 3-2 thriller just last month.
Further encouragement comes from the fact that five of Atletico’s last seven La Liga matches have also seen both teams find the net.
PSG vs Lyon (Sunday, 20:00)
Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon will round off this weekend’s action in Ligue 1 when they square off at the Parc des Princes on Sunday night.
While PSG look to be tightening their grip on the title race in the French top-flight, they are still far from watertight defensively.
That was evident in PSG’s last league match at home, when they beat Toulouse 3-1, while they had previously suffered a 3-1 defeat to Monaco at the Parc des Princes.
With that in mind, Lyon could land a blow on the hosts' defence in the French capital on Sunday night, even if it ultimately proves to be nothing more than a consolation.
It’s also worth noting that BTTS would have landed in four of Lyon’s last seven league games away from home, including a 3-2 thriller at Marseille.
