Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayer Leverkusen

Bundesliga. Kick off : 17.00pm Sunday 16th December Live on BT Sports 1

HERE we are again, trying to find an angle in a game involving Eintracht Frankfurt.

The last two Bundesliga games would have paid dividends had you backed against them, and in Bayer Leverkusen they have opponents who will look to take something from this particular match-up. They usually seem to.

Frankfurt recovered the winning habit on Thursday in the Europa League, becoming the first Bundesliga team to defeat Lazio at the Stadio Olympico, and as Adi Huetter rested a few regulars the win was particularly impressive.

Europa League form has been a real positive for Eintracht Frankfurt this season.Six wins out of six to qualify as Group winners seems a statement of intent, and the way they set up seems to work really effectively in these ties.

Frenchman Sebastien Haller got the winner in the Lazio game, and with his partners in the front three Luka Jovic and Ante Rebic, they have been a potent threat this season.

They have been stifled in those last two Bundesliga defeats though, and how teams set up against them is something I have touched on before. Huetter changed his own tactics slightly as well against Lazio and got the win, so they are definitely not one-dimensional.

Leverkusen are no mugs themselves. Winners of their Europa League group and seeded in the last 32 draw alongside Sunday`s opponents, a 5-1 away victory at AEK Larnaca in midweek should put them in the mood for this game.

Lucas Alario started the AEK game and bagged a brace, this after scoring what turned out to be the winner against Augsburg last week. Even if he doesn`t start (and maybe he`s worth a chance), he could be a decent goalscorer shout.

Leverkusen frontman Kevin Volland is also a player that enjoys this fixture, notching eight times against these particular opponents.

It`s goals that seem the option here, but the prices reflect that. Feel free to go for BTTS and overs as they have a more than fair chance of landing.

The last twice I`ve bottled backing against Frankfurt though, and Leverkusen are more than capable of getting something from this. It should be a great game to watch.
