Tuesday’s football tips: Try backing Cardiff in the corner handicap as they bid to shock Chelsea

The EFL Cup quarter-finals get underway tonight with a David v Goliath tie in Wales as Chelsea take on Cardiff City.

Enzo Maresca has already got his hands on two trophies as Blues boss and will fancy his chances of collecting another this term.

But the Cardiff City Stadium will be rocking as the League One Bluebirds look to claim an epic win by upsetting the odds.

Cardiff head into this tie with their confidence up after winning six of their last seven games and were impressive in the last round as they beat Championship big spenders Wrexham.

But taking on Chelsea is a massive step up in class, even though Maresca will probably give a few of his big hitters the night off.

CD Guadalajara will be hoping to spring an even bigger shock when they take on La Liga leaders Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey tonight.

This tournament often throws up a few surprises but the third-tier side are 16/1 rank outsiders against the Catalan giants.

Hansi Flick will no doubt rest some of his stars during a demanding run of games but his teams always go for the throat so we should see goals.

Combining a Barca win with over 3.5 strikes looks decent at 10/11 with Betway while backing them to win both halves is a bit bigger at evens with 888Sport.

Deportivo La Coruna vs Real Mallorca

There's an intriguing Copa Del Rey tie in La Coruna as fallen giants Deportivo bid to claim a top-flight scalp as they take on Real Mallorca.

Former La Liga champions Depor have been out of the top tier since 2018 but could be set to end their exile as they currently sit second in the Segunda Division.

Mallorca sit just two points above the drop zone in La Liga after an indifferent start to the season so Deportivo will fancy their chances.

The bookies can't separate them, with both sides at 17/10, and a lot will depend on how strong a team each manager picks.
