Tuesday’s Football Tips: Portugal out to pile on Nations League pain for Scotland

The UEFA Nations League has brought Steve Clarke plenty of pain so far and Portugal will be out to pile on the misery at Hampden tonight.

Scotland have suffered three successive defeats in their group, putting up decent performances in every game before suffering late heartbreak.

But the Portuguese have won every match so far, including a 3-1 triumph away to Poland at the weekend, so they will be confident of keeping that run going.

European champions Spain started their Nations League campaign by drawing a blank in Serbia so they will be out to make amends in the return fixture at home.

The response since that stalemate has been impressive, with Luis de la Fuente's side beating Switzerland 4-1 then edging out Denmark with a 1-0 win.

The Serbs got their first win by beating the Swiss on Saturday but Betano make them 7/1 outsiders tonight.
