Two fallen giants face off in the first leg of French play-off final tonight as St Etienne take on Nice for a place in Ligue 1.
Back in the 1970, St Etienne were one of the bet teams in Europe but they've spent three of the last four seasons in France's second tier.
Nice's fall has been more sudden and nobody expected them to finish third bottom this season after qualifying for Europe in three of their last four campaigns.

Nice head into this game on a downer after losing 3-1 to Lens in the Coupe de France final, making it just one win in their last 10 matches.
St Etienne didn't end the Ligue 2 season in style either, losing three of their last four, and only just scraped past Rodez by a single goal in the play-off semis.
They also lost 2-1 away to Nice in the Coupe de France earlier this season but the bookies make them favourites with home advantage tonight at a best 5/4 with Betfred.

Group G of the Copa Libertadores come to a climax tonight and there's an Argentina vs Brazil clash as Lanus take on Mirassol.
Mirassol have nothing to play for with a place in the last 16 already assured but Lanus are out to book their slot in the Copa Sudamericana.
The Argentines can't catch Quito in second place but will be out to secure a soft landing in South America's second-tier competition.
Lanus are odds-on favourites but still offer a bit of value at 17/20 with Bet365 given the Brazilians might rest a few players.

LDU Quito vs Always Ready
If Lanus lose at home tonight then the wonderfully named Always Ready could pip them to a place in the Copa Sudamericana if they can't beat LDU Quito in Ecuador.
But it would be a surprise if the Bolivians came out on top, given they've lost four of their five games so far and have yet to get a point away from home.
Quito have also been pretty formidable on their own patch so far, beating Mirassol and Lanus without conceding, so it's no surprise to see them as 4/11 hot favourites with Bet365.
It's hard finding value with LDU such a short price but backing them to be winning at half-time and full-time pays evens at SkyBet.
