What a day at Euro 2020! If Monday's matches didn't restore your love of the beautiful game then nothing will.
Two games. 14 goals ✅. Underdog comebacks ✅. Own Goal ✅. Missed Penalty ✅. Injury-time equalizer ✅. Worldie goals aplenty ✅. Penalty Shoot-out ✅. Major upset ✅. It had everything.
The pre-tournament favourites, France, are out, meaning we have new team at the top of the pile with Spain installed as 3/1 chance to lift the trophy at Bet365. Italy are new second favourites at 7/2 whilst England have been cut to 4/1 to without kicking a ball since the group stages. Germany are 6/1 and Belgium still look a bit over-priced at 7/1 despite a difficult route to the final ahead of them. Ukraine remain the bit outsiders at 80/1.
And so to the last two matches of the Last 16 and to the game that's been everyone's mind since the end of the group stages… but more about Sweden v Ukraine in minute! 😉
England v Germany
Before that we have the small matter of England v Germany at Wembley and both sides will fancy their chances of making it all the way to the July 11th.
Bookies make England favourites to win in the 90 minutes with Marathonbet going 13/8 and Ladbrokes 17/20 for Gareth Southgates side to qualify. The Germans can be backed at a healthy 21/10 to win at Marathonbet or 21/20 at Boylesports to make it to the quarters.
The Three Lions have yet to concede at Euro 2020 but they're 2/1 to keep a clean sheet on Tuesday. They've only scored twice too, so Under 2.5 Goals is priced at 4/5. Raheem Sterling has been England's only scorer to date and he's 13/5 (Bet365) to net again.
Mark Walker takes an objective look at the game for us and reckons Harry Kane can silence the doubters at Wembley. Check out his match preview for a trio of tips for the game.
Sweden v Ukraine
Hampden Park is the location for Tuesday's second match between Sweden and Ukraine. The winner of this tie will play either England or Germany in Rome on Saturday.
The Swedes are 3/4 (Marathonbet) to qualify, the Ukrainians 6/5 (Betway). It looks tough to call and after how Tuesday's matches went only a fool would try to predict the outcome. SlipsTips has stepped up to the plate however in his match preview where he has a couple of tips around the even money mark.
