It’s time for the final round of Ligue 1, and while we already know the name of the champions, we still need to find out which teams will qualify for the Champions League, as well as which team will have to play a relegation play-off.
We’re in for plenty of action late Sunday night, as the final round features several high-profile matches between teams battling for European spots, as well as some derbies.
Keep reading below for our expert tips and predictions for all Ligue 1 matches.
Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions
Brest vs. Angers (8pm)
Brest and Angers are ending the season in similarly poor form, with neither team having won in two months.
This, plus the fact that neither team has anything to play for in the final match, makes predicting the outcome much more difficult.
We’ll base our prediction on the fact that Brest were quite strong at home in the earlier stages of the season, while Angers have consistently lost on the road.
Brest vs. Angers top betting tip: Brest to win
Lille vs. Auxerre (8pm)
A win is a must for both teams, albeit for different reasons. The three points will secure Lille a spot in the Champions League next year. If Auxerre win, they will secure their survival without needing a playoff.
Although there is a significant gap in quality between the two teams, this match is not easy to predict because Auxerre have really improved in recent months and are scoring plenty of goals.
At the same time, Lille have been phenomenal defensively, conceding just one goal in their last five matches. Nevertheless, we expect a high-scoring match because the visitors will press with everything they’ve got.
Lille vs. Auxerre top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals
Lorient vs. Le Havre (8pm)
Poor form in recent weeks has made the end of the season tougher for Le Havre, and they now need a win to secure survival without a playoff.
The positive for them is that Lorient have nothing to play for, and that could have an impact. But we shouldn’t overlook the fact that in their last match, they didn’t need the win either, yet they crushed the already-relegated Metz 4-0.
So we expect to see more action here than expected, and we believe Le Havre will score a goal.

Lyon vs. Lens (8pm)
Lens lost the title with their defeat to PSG, but they still have the Coupe de France final coming up in a week, so we expect them not to be at 100% in this match.
Lyon need the win to secure at least a spot in the Champions League qualifiers, so we expect them to play their strongest game of the season, especially after their loss in the last round.
Lens haven’t won in their last four away games, and we think that streak will extend to five in this match.
Lyon vs. Lens top betting tip: Lyon to win
Marseille vs. Rennes (8pm)
In the other most interesting match of the last round, we have two teams involved in the battle for European qualification. Marseille are targeting Rennes’ fifth-place spot, while Rennes could climb even higher if they win.
The drama will be intense, especially if the teams come out and play the attacking football we’re used to seeing from them.
It’s hard to predict how this match will end, so we believe the best option is BTTS.

Nantes vs. Toulouse (8pm)
This is Nantes’ final match in the top flight and their last chance to finish on a positive note. Toulouse, however, look quite dangerous right now following their two wins over Lyon and Strasbourg.
Neither team has anything to play for, so we can expect a relaxed match with plenty of goals.
Toulouse’s recent matches have been a goal-scoring feast, with at least three goals in each of their last seven games.
Nantes vs. Toulouse top betting tip: Over 1.5 Toulouse goals, Over 2.5 goals
Paris FC vs. PSG (8pm)
The final round will also bring us the last Paris derby of the season, and it’s sure to be interesting after Paris FC beat PSG a few months ago.
PSG clinched the title with their win over Lens and have nothing left to play for, but the fact that this is their city rival will certainly have an impact.
Paris FC have been quite impressive in recent weeks, so this time we expect to see goals at both ends.

Strasbourg vs. Monaco (8pm)
Strasbourg’s season ended weeks ago, but for Monaco, only a win can save their season.
The Monegasques are not in good form, with just one win in their last five matches, and their main problem is their defensive play. They haven’t kept a clean sheet since mid-March, and as visitors since early February.
Strasbourg beat them 3-1 in the Coupe de France three months ago, but that match mattered. Now the visitors will likely be the dominant team, but we still expect goals at both ends.

Nice vs. Metz (8pm)
Nice are in a very interesting position—if they don’t win their last match, they’ll go to a playoff and could be relegated. At the same time, they’ll play in the Coupe de France final next week, and if they win it, they’ll play in the Europa League.
Apart from that, they haven’t won in 10 consecutive home games in Ligue 1, which is a club record in the top flight.
Fortunately, they have the easiest task of all teams in the final round, as they will face last-place Metz, who have already been relegated. We expect Nice to win and boost their morale ahead of the big final next week.
