Troyes host Strasbourg, with both sides having secured their first wins of the season. Angers and Rennes can boast the same ahead of their clash, whilst Marseille return home to face Paris FC.

Troyes vs. Strasbourg (2pm)
Troyes will be highly motivated following their first win in the last round, and they remain unbeaten – something Strasbourg cannot boast.
The visitors have been very inconsistent – first they lost 4–0 to Marseille in a shockingly poor performance, then they beat Lens, who, on paper, are currently on a completely different level.
Although Strasbourg have been by far the more successful side in recent years, Troyes have always caused them problems. The last five head-to-head matches have ended with goals at both ends. Based on what we saw a week ago, I expect exactly that to happen again.

Angers vs. Rennes (4:15pm)
After a poor start, Angers capitalised on Auxerre’s poor form and won their second match convincingly, scoring three goals. Rennes, meanwhile, have made an impressive start and are in excellent scoring form, but they’re also struggling with serious defensive problems.
There are certainly grounds for concern for the home side, having failed to beat Rennes in seven consecutive matches (D1, L6). However, it is precisely the visitors’ poor defensive display that is sure to create at least a few goal-scoring opportunities, so the question is whether they will capitalise on them.
In any case, I cannot imagine this match ending goalless, and I certainly expect both sides to get in on the action.

Marseille vs. Paris FC (7:45pm)
Paris FC have made a surprisingly strong start to the season, with a draw in the first round and a commanding 3–0 victory over Nice in the second. Marseille, on the other hand, have been all over the place – a phenomenal performance against Strasbourg and a complete collapse against Monaco.
There is, however, one fact, and that is that Marseille are a completely different side when playing at home, and that is a huge factor. Still, in my view, Paris FC have improved considerably in defence, and we can’t expect a landslide victory.
I’m more inclined to see something like a 1-0 or 2-0 result, although the recent matches between the two sides have been quite high-scoring.
