The big La Liga matches continue on Sunday, with three major fixtures on the card, featuring newcomers and top-flight regulars who need immediate improvement.

Real Madrid will be looking to build on their strong start against one of the league’s newcomers, whilst later in the day, La Coruna, Valencia, Celta Vigo and Athletic Bilbao will all be out to secure their first wins of the season.

Below, you’ll find our expert tips and predictions for each of Sunday’s La Liga matches.

Today’s La Liga betting tips & predictions

Real Madrid vs. Malaga (4pm)

The new era at Real Madrid has got off to a flying start, and it looks as though Barcelona will face a far more competitive opponent this season.

Facing Real this time are the newly promoted Malaga, who got off to a poor start to the season with a defeat against the other Madrid giants and a draw against La Coruna.

At this stage, I can’t see how the visitors will be able to stand up to Real Madrid, and I’m expecting a resounding victory by a large margin.

Real Madrid vs. Malaga top betting tip: Real Madrid & Over 2.5 goals

Deportivo La Coruna vs. Valencia (6:30pm)

Deportivo La Coruna must be regretting that they have no more than two points after their first two matches, having played the other two newly promoted sides and taken the lead in both games.

They now have another decent chance, as Valencia look to be in dreadful form at the start of the season and have yet to score a goal. Their attacking problems persist, but at least Valencia are showing some promise at the back.

That’s why I don’t think we’ll see anything spectacular in this match, although it’s entirely possible they’ll open up and exchange goals, just as they did back when La Coruna were last in the top flight.

Deportivo La Coruna vs. Valencia top betting tip: Under 2.5 goals

Celta Vigo vs. Athletic Bilbao (8:30pm)

Celta Vigo and Athletic Bilbao are two more teams that have yet to win a match, and their form makes this fixture far more difficult to predict.

Celta Vigo were much closer to victory against Osasuna before conceding a complete turnaround. Athletic Bilbao have had tougher fixtures against Barcelona and Sevilla, and it is somewhat understandable that they didn’t win.

The problem is that they didn’t look anywhere near their best, and in my view, Celta Vigo will make the most of this.
