SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Motherwell’s clash with Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Motherwell vs Falkirk (Saturday, 15:00)
Motherwell and Falkirk will face off in the Scottish Premiership at Fir Park on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts suffered their first league defeat of the season when conceding a last-gasp goal in a 3-2 loss away at Celtic last time out.
As for Falkirk, they came from behind to claim a well-earned 1-1 draw against Rangers ahead of the international break.
Motherwell are even-money (1/1) favourites with most firms to take top honours on Saturday, however I’m going to opt for a slightly different angle of attack.
With all the ingredients in place for a goal-heavy game in North Lanarkshire on Saturday, I think the Steelmen look a touch too big to score two or more goals during this contest at 10/11 on William Hill.
As mentioned, Motherwell made the net bulge twice during their last Scottish Premiership game away at Celtic.
Impressively, that means Jens Berthel Askou’s side have scored multiple goals in four of their last five Scottish Premiership matches.
The Steelmen have also struck twice or more against Kilmarnock and Hearts across that five-game sequence – two teams that currently sit either side of Celtic in the Scottish top-flight standings.
With that in mind, the Fir Park outfit look well placed to repeat the trick when Falkirk come to town this weekend.
While the Bairns have made a steady enough start to life back in the big time, their open and expansive style tends to see them struggle at the back.
In fact, only Livingston (14) have conceded more goals than John McGlynn's men (13) across the opening stretch of the Scottish Premiership the season.
Moreover, Falkirk have conceded two goals or more in five of their seven top-flight outings this term, making attack-minded Motherwell an excellent value option to strike twice or more on Saturday at 10/11 on William Hill.
Recommended Bet
- Over 1.5 Motherwell Goals – 10/11 (William Hill)
