SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Motherwell’s clash with Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Motherwell vs Falkirk (Sunday, 15:00)
Motherwell and Falkirk will face off in the Scottish Premiership at Fir Park on Sunday afternoon.
The two teams endured contrasting starts to their respective top-flight campaigns last weekend.
Motherwell hit the ground running by claiming an impressive 2-1 win away at Hibs, while Falkirk slumped to a 2-0 defeat at home to St Mirren.
As such, it’s no surprise to see the hosts come into this clash as 4/5 favourites with bet365.
Based on what we’ve seen from these two teams across the early stretch of the season, Motherwell look good value to come out on top on Sunday.
The Well not only emerged from Easter Road with all three points last weekend, but they also made light work of Havnar Boltfelag across both legs of their Europa League second-round qualifier.
Alfred Johansson’s side then followed that up by holding HJK Helsinki to a 1-1 draw away from home in the first leg of their third-round qualifier earlier this week.
Falkirk, by contrast, have endured a far less encouraging start to their campaign.
As already mentioned, the Bairns slumped to an alarming 2-0 defeat at home to St Mirren last weekend.
That bruising opening day setback came off the back of a disappointing Scottish League Cup campaign in which John McGlynn’s men failed to qualify, notably losing at home to Ayr and failing to defeat Alloa away from home.
The Bairns look like they could be in for a long season following last year’s exploits, particularly having lost a number of important players over the summer.
The fact that they will also be without key midfielder Brad Spencer on Sunday due to suspension only strengthens the case for backing Motherwell to claim victory.
