SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Scotland’s World Cup clash with Morocco on Friday night.

Scotland v Morocco, Friday (23:00)

The second round of action in Group C at the World Cup gets underway on Friday night as Scotland meet Morocco at Gillette Stadium.

The Scots have given themselves a strong chance of progressing from the group stage for the first time in their history after kicking off their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Haiti.

As for Morocco, they arrive at this clash on the back of a solid showing in a 1-1 draw with Brazil last weekend.

Morocco Double Chance

I'm going to get the Bet Builder underway by backing Morocco Double Chance. The Atlas Lions have long been a tough nut to crack, underlined by the fact they have lost just two of their last 46 matches across all competitions, a sequence stretching all the way back to 2023. Even more impressively, Morocco have won 33 of those matches, with their performance against Brazil offering further evidence that they will be a force to be reckoned with this summer.

Scotland, meanwhile, will be in high spirits after last week’s 1-0 win over Haiti, but Morocco will represent a far tougher proposition. Steve Clarke's side will more than likely approach their final two group games targeting a point that would almost certainly see them progress through to the knockout stages for the first time ever, which adds to the appeal of backing Morocco to avoid defeat.

Over 0 Morocco Goals

Moving into the second leg of the Bet Builder, I’m going with Morocco to score at least once. Mohamed Ouahbi’s men tend to find the net more often than not, reflected in the fact they have failed to score in just three of their last 30 matches in all competitions. The African heavyweights have some top-class operators in their ranks, and it is difficult to envisage Scotland keeping them at bay.

Steve Clarke’s side were leaky at the back throughout their qualification campaign, conceding in each of their final four matches, including a 2-1 win against Belarus. The Scots have since had their backline breached in a friendly against Curacao.

Andrew Robertson To Commit 1+ Foul

The final selection is a player-based bet in the shape of Andy Robertson to commit a minimum of one foul.

The Scotland captain was guilty of two offences against Haiti last weekend, and he can expect a much tougher night here given the quality of the direct opponents he is likely to come up against.

Robertson is likely to find himself operating in similar areas of the pitch to Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz, both of whom are effective at winning free-kicks. In fact, the Moroccan duo drew a combined total of eight fouls between them against Brazil last weekend. It is also worth noting that Hakimi was drawing 1.84 fouls per game during World Cup qualification, while Diaz’s figure sat at sizeable 2.87, further highlighting the unenviable task facing the Scotland skipper on Friday night.

These three selections combine to form an eye-catching even-money Bet Builder on bet365 that looks good value.
