Tottenham vs Arsenal (Sunday, 16:30)

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will stage the 199th edition of the North London Derby as Spurs square off with Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham head into this showdown with a new man in the dugout after Igor Tudor was placed in interim charge following Thomas Frank’s dismissal, which came in the wake of a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle last midweek.

Arsenal, meanwhile, must quickly lift themselves off the canvas after their title hopes suffered a blow when they surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 away at Wolves on Wednesday night.

While Tottenham’s home record in the Premier League this season does not make for good reading, Arsenal’s recent wobbles make them unattractive, short-priced 8/13 favourites on Sunday.

With that in mind, I’m going to swerve the 1X2 market and instead put forward a player-based selection that holds plenty of appeal.

There is no shortage of candidates in the player foul markets to consider, however, the 4/5 with bet365 for Conor Gallagher to commit two or more immediately caught my eye.

Gallagher is certain to be one of the main protagonists in what promises to be an intense midfield battle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The new Spurs recruit was well known for being a fierce competitor during his previous spell in the Premier League with Chelsea, and that was also the case during his time at Atletico Madrid.

Granted, it is a small a sample size, however Gallagher’s combative streak has been on show since his switch to North London last month.

In fact, across his five Premier League appearances since joining Tottenham, Gallagher has committed multiple fouls in all but one of those contests.

Over that five-game stretch, Gallagher gave away exactly two free-kicks against West Ham, Manchester United and Newcastle, while he racked up three misdemeanours when Spurs hosted Manchester City last month.

Therefore, there is plenty of scope for that trend to continue in a fixture where sparks are almost guaranteed to fly, making the 4/5 with bet365 for Gallagher to commit two or more fouls a price that represents solid value.
