Arsenal vs Man City (Sunday, 16:30)

All roads lead to Wembley on Sunday, where Arsenal and Manchester City will face off in the 2026 EFL Cup Final.

Both teams will put their Premier League duel on hold, but claiming the first piece of silverware of the season could give one of these two heavyweights a psychological edge in the title race.

The Gunners enter Sunday’s showpiece as the bookmakers’ favourites, and it’s easy to see why since they lead the Premier League by nine points and are riding a 14-match unbeaten streak across all competitions.

Manchester City, meanwhile, will be hoping the EFL Cup offers some respite, as Pep Guardiola’s side are in a rough patch, having won just one of their last five matches and suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday that saw them exit the Champions League 5-1 on aggregate.

With cup finals usually cagey and closely contested, I’m going to swerve the outright markets and shift the focus to two player-based selections.

Eberechi Eze is priced at 5/6 on bet365 to attempt two or more shots during Sunday’s showpiece, and that looks like excellent value.

Since his summer move to Arsenal, the 27-year-old has remained a consistent goal threat, regularly testing goalkeepers as he did at Crystal Palace.

In fact, the Arsenal ace has averaged 2.73 shots per game across his 26 Premier League appearances this season.

Digging deeper into the numbers, Eze has racked up 15 attempts across his last four top-flight starts, making the net bulge twice in the process.

The England international also impressed on Tuesday night against Bayer Leverkusen, registering three efforts and opening the scoring in emphatic fashion.

With Manchester City’s defence looking vulnerable and prone to conceding chances, Eze looks well placed to deliver at least two more attempts in Sunday’s EFL Cup Final.

On current form, Eze also stands out to hit the target at least once at an eye-catching even-money (1/1) on bet365.

Recommended Bets

  • Eberechi Eze 2+ Shots – 5/6 (bet365)
  • Eberechi Eze 1+ Shot on Target – 1/1 (bet365)
