Chelsea vs Brentford (Saturday, 15:00)

Liam Rosenior will be looking to mark his Premier League debut as Chelsea manager with a victory when the Blues welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

It has been a mixed start for the new Chelsea boss, who oversaw a comfortable 5-1 win over Charlton in the FA Cup before watching his side lose 3-2 at home to Arsenal in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Brentford will head across the capital in high spirits, as they are unbeaten in six Premier League matches and have claimed maximum points in four of those contests.

I have already covered this all-London affair in a separate match preview, however, I have since identified a player-based selection that looks well worth supporting.

Cole Palmer has been priced at 5/4 on bet365 to be fouled twice or more, and that looks a little too big to ignore.

The Chelsea ace has long been a player who receives close attention from his direct opponents, and this season has been no different.

In recent weeks, Palmer has been brought down multiple times in four of his last six Premier League appearances.

A closer look shows that the England international has been upended on three separate occasions in two of his last three top-flight outings.

With local rivals Brentford up next, there’s every chance that trend will continue.

Team news permitting, Palmer could find himself being closely watched by Brentford midfield duo Vitaly Janelt and Yehor Yarmoliuk.

The Bees pair have been frequent offenders in the Premier League this season, committing averages of 1.07 and 1.44 fouls per game respectively.

With all that in mind, backing Palmer to be fouled twice or more at 5/4 looks particularly enticing, especially in a game that could develop into an end-to-end encounter.

Recommended Bet

  • Cole Palmer to be Fouled 2 or More Times – 5/4 (bet365)
