SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Leeds’ Premier League clash with Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Leeds vs Chelsea (Wednesday, 20:15)

Elland Road will play host to an intriguing Premier League clash on Wednesday night as Leeds United lock horns with Chelsea.

The hosts will have to lift themselves up off the canvas after suffering a last-gasp 3-2 defeat away at Manchester City on Saturday.

As for Chelsea, they stood firm with 10-men to claim a spirited 1-1 draw when hosting Arsenal in a bad-tempered London derby on Sunday.

The Blues are general 3/4 favourites with the bookies to get back on track on Wednesday night, however I’m more attracted to the 5/6 on Ladbrokes for the visitors to score two or more goals during this contest.

Chelsea are among the highest-scoring teams in this season’s Premier League, with only Man City (27) and Arsenal (25) scoring more goals than Enzo Maresca’s side (24) at this juncture.

Moreover, Chelsea have fired in multiple strikes in four of their six league fixtures away from their Stamford Bridge base this term.

Across that six-game sample, the Blues have made the net bulge on two or more occasions against West Ham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Burnley.

With that in mind, Maresca’s men look well placed to continue in that vein against a Leeds side that have looked really leaky defensively of late.

In fact, the Whites have failed to keep the back door shut in 11 of their 13 Premier League assignments this season, conceding at least two goals in eight of those encounters.

More alarmingly, Farke’s relegation-threatened side have shipped two goals or more in seven of their last eight top-flight tussles, including three of their last four in front of their own supporters.

The likes of Bournemouth, Tottenham and Aston Villa have all delivered two team goals at this venue in recent times, so Chelsea are more than capable of following suit.

So with all things considered, backing the Blues to score a minimum of two goals on Wednesday night looks too big to ignore at a value 5/6 with Ladbrokes.

  • Over 1.5 Chelsea Goals – 5/6 (Ladbrokes)
