Arsenal vs Chelsea, Tuesday (20:00)

With a place in next month’s EFL Cup Final at stake, London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea go head-to-head in the second leg of their semi-final tie at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side enter the contest in pole position to book their spot at Wembley after securing a thrilling 3-2 victory at Stamford Bridge last month.

I’ve already penned a separate match preview on this semi-final showdown, but now I’m turning my attention to the Bet Builder market.

Enzo Fernandez To Commit 1+ Foul

I'm going to kick off what will be a player-based Bet Builder double by backing Enzo Fernandez to commit a minimum of one foul. The all-action Chelsea midfielder tends to find himself in the thick of the action, and Tuesday night's encounter at the Emirates should be no different.

Fernandez's combative streak often sees him overstep the mark and get on the wrong side of the referee, something that is underlined by the fact that he is committing an average of 1.06 fouls per game in this season's Premier League. A closer look shows that Fernandez has been guilty of at least one offence in 15 of his 23 top-flight appearances this season. It's also worth noting that the Blues midfielder has been penalised in each of his previous two appearances against Arsenal this term.

Cole Palmer To Be Fouled Once or More

For the second instalment of the Bet Builder, I'm going to include Cole Palmer to be fouled on at least one occasion. The Chelsea ace is undoubtedly one of the Blues' biggest attacking threats and regularly finds himself tightly marked as a result. That can be attributed to Palmer's foul-drawing ability, something that was on show on Saturday evening against West Ham when he was brought down on no fewer than three occasions. That means Palmer has earned his side a free-kick in each of his last eight top-flight outings, notably earning multiple free kicks in six of those contests.

Likely to be closely marked by Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi, there's plenty of scope for that trend to continue on Tuesday night. The Spanish international is committing an average of 1.04 fouls per 90 in this season's Premier League.

Combined, the above-mentioned player-based double will bring about a 4/5 play on bet365 and looks like good value.

Recommended Bet

  • Enzo Fernandez To Commit 1+ Foul
  • Cole Palmer To Be Fouled Once or More
  • Bet Builder – 4/5 (bet365)
