SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Kilmarnock’s clash with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Kilmarnock vs Celtic, Sunday (13:30)
Celtic will be looking to make it two wins from two in the Scottish Premiership when they travel to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock on Sunday.
Martin O'Neill's side had to dig deep to get their title defence up and running, eventually edging past Dundee 1-0 on Monday night.
As for Kilmarnock, they will be looking to get off the mark after suffering a 4-3 defeat against St Johnstone in an action-packed encounter last Sunday.
Over 0 Celtic Goals
I'm going to get the bet builder up and running by backing Celtic to score at least once. The Hoops tend to find the net more often than not, underlined by the fact they scored in 33 of their 35 Scottish Premiership matches last season. In fact, including last week's 1-0 win over Dundee, Celtic have now scored in each of their last eight top-flight matches, winning all eight of those contests.
That doesn't augur well for a Kilmarnock side that shipped four goals away at newly-promoted St Johnstone last Sunday.
Over 5.5 Celtic Corners
For the second leg of the bet builder, I'm going with Celtic to earn a minimum of six corners. The Glasgow heavyweights tend to rack up bucket loads of corners in the Scottish Premiership, averaging 6.63 per game last season. Martin O'Neill's men picked up from where they left off on the flag kick front against Dundee on Monday night, forcing no fewer than nine corners.
Kilmarnock, meanwhile, conceded exactly six corners away at St Johnstone last weekend, and Celtic should be capable of matching or bettering that tally given the gulf in quality between the two sides.
Over 0 Kilmarnock Cards
I'm going to conclude the bet builder by backing Kilmarnock to collect a minimum of one card. The Ayrshire outfit was one of the most ill-disciplined teams in the Scottish Premiership last season, averaging 2.21 yellows per game. That trend continued last weekend when Neil McCann's men were shown two yellows during their 4-3 defeat to St Johnstone. It would be fair to say that Kilmarnock will have plenty of defensive work to get through against Celtic on Sunday.
The Hoops' Scottish Premiership opponents averaged 1.84 yellow cards per game last season, while Kilmarnock picked up at least one card in each of their three meetings with Celtic last term. Another Killie card looks well within reach here.
Combined, these selections bring about a 5/6 Bet Builder that offers plenty of value.
