It's Scottish Cup 4th Round in Scotland and there's plenty of cracking ties for fans and punters to look forward to.
Will the fairytale continue for Mr Fixit's Clydebank (7/2)? Annan (3/4) will make the trip to Holm Park with a feeling of trepidation following the Bankies' giant-killing exploits already this season. The West of Scotland League side have already disposed of Elgin City and Clyde so will relish the opportunity to claim another scalp. In-form Annan should be a tougher proposition though, they're unbeaten in eight and have won six of those, so although Clydebank might be popular with punters Saturday's cup shocks might happen elsewhere.
It could be lowly Kelty Hearts who grab the back-page headlines. Cup holders St Johnstone could barely have picked a trickier banana-skin to begin their defence of the trophy. The ambitious League Two side have, as expected, run away from the pack and hold a seven point lead, with two games in hand, having lost just once in the league all season.
Saints on the other hand can't buy a win and almost unthinkably Callum Davidson is starting to feel the heat. It's now nine straight defeats, with just three goals scored for last season's cup-double winners. It'd be a brave man to be backing them at 3/5 to win in Fife today. Instead Kelty are well worth an interest even if they're slightly shorter than you'd like a 17/4.

Another side looking to cause an upset are Auchinleck Talbot. The Ayrshire side have done themselves proud in the competition in recent years and it took a late goal for today's opponents, Hearts, to see them off in 2012. It was a little more comfortable for the Jambos two seasons ago when they won 4-0 but a packed Beechwood Park will be no place for the faint-hearted in front of the nations TV cameras.
With no replays this season the underdogs will never get a better chance to write their names into the history books. Talbot have the best defensive record in the West of Scotland League so it could be a frustrating afternoon for the Premiership side. Kilmarnock aren't messing about in their quest to return to the top flight. Ange Postecoglou will give some fringe players some game time but there should be enough quality on show to get the job done.
Rangers eased past Stirling Albion by four goals to nil last night and it could be a similar story for Celtic. At 1/14 the Glasgow giants aren't a bet but with a bit of creativity we can conjure a 6/5 BetBuilder; Celtic to score Over 2 goals, Alloa to score Under 1 goals.

For today’s NAP I fancy all 3 teams to net a couple of goals (and win but I’m happy to side with just goals in 2/3 cases) Leverkusen games have been goal laden recently and they’ve scored 2+ in 7 of their last 9 despite only 1 win in 6. Inter should take care of struggling Venezia and bag a couple and I fancy Arbroath to continue their good league form with a straightforward win and a couple of goals against Darvel. Darvel are a junior side (a good one albeit) but a Scottish cup run is much more important financially in this country than many others so even though they are top of the championship and looking for promotion I can’t see the home men playing a weakened side.
For the NB it’s off to Qatar, both sides are in excellent for with just 2 defeats in 10, and both sides are scoring goals just now. (And conceding)
The reverse fixture finished 4-1 to al wakra and their only defeats in the 10 games mentioned were to al rayyan, one a cup match and the other a game which was abandoned due to one of their players having a heart attack and then replayed the next day when they weren’t in any state of mind to play, so I think the bookies are underestimating their chances in this one and I’m quite happy to take on the chances of them contributing to the goals tally.

-Kingstonian have scored in every home game bar one and should contribute at least 1. Recently at home they’ve scored: 2,4,0,3,2,1,1,3,4,3,2,1 but have only kept 2 clean sheets.

Goals look good in the Scottish cup and Iceland today. Really fancy Dundee to give Dumbarton a bit of a doing today. First post in a short while for me…. and as always, its because I love a decent-priced boxing outsider.
Gary Russell Jr v Mark Magsayo (around 3am Sunday)….. I have to back the younger, unbeaten challenger here…. But those aren’t the main reasons. Russell Jr had had a very good career, however he (in my eyes) hasn’t been the same since the Loma loss.
He has won all his bouts since then, but watching him, for me, I get the sense of “it’s not if he’ll be beaten again, it’s when”. Tonight maybe (and hopefully!), for the sake of my bet, he will.
With sky, Magsayo is 5/2 to win by any method or 5/1 on points. I’m leaning towards the 5/1 (NAP) and 5/2 (NB).
