Bayern Munich vs Paris Saint-Germain

, KO: 20:00 , Allianz Arena
Paris Saint-Germain

A week on from their nine-goal thriller in the French capital, Bayern Munich and PSG face off again in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie at the Allianz Arena in what promises to be another highly dramatic match.

It looked at one stage as if PSG were going to run away with the tie, as they raced into a 5-2 lead, before a couple of quick-fire goals from the Bundesliga champions left the tie still in the balance.

That was Vincent Kompany’s side’s second defeat away from home in the Champions League this season, but they have won all six at home, with five of those being more than a one-goal margin.

However, the Bavarians did see their five-match winning run in the Bundesliga come to an end at the weekend, as they required an equaliser deep into stoppage time to draw 3-3 at home to rock-bottom Heidenheim.

That win in the first leg last week was PSG’s fifth consecutive victory in the competition, but they also dropped points at home in the league at the weekend, as they relinquished the lead twice to draw 2-2 with Lorient.

However, Luis Enrique’s men remain six points clear of second-placed Lens in the Ligue 1 table, with just three matches left to play.

How the bookies view it: Tough one to call

The bookies are finding it hard to separate these two sides, with bet365 pricing either side at 10/11 To Qualify.

Bayern Munich are 8/13 favourites to win inside 90 minutes, whilst a Parisian victory is 14/5, with the draw available at 17/4.

Head to head: Bayern with a slight edge

These two clubs have met on 17 occasions since 1994, with Bayern having the slight edge, winning nine of those encounters, whilst PSG have triumphed eight times against the record Bundesliga champions.

Players to watch: More magic from Kvaradona?

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a man in tremendous form right now, with him scoring nine goals and providing three assists across his previous nine appearances for the reigning champions.

The Georgian winger has provided a goal contribution in each of his previous six appearances in this competition (seven goals & two assists) – including a stunning brace in the first leg last week – and is good value at 1/1 at PaddyPower to Score or Assist in Munich on Wednesday.

Predicted line-ups:

Bayern appear only to be missing Raphael Guerreiro and Serge Gnabry due to injury.

PSG will be missing goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier and full-back Achraf Hakimi through injury.

Bayern Munich: Neuer, Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Davies, Kimmich, Pavlovic, Olise, Musiala, Diaz, Kane

Paris Saint-Germain: Safonov, Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes, Vitinha, Neves, Ruiz, Doue, Kvaratshkelia, Dembele

Anything else catch the eye?

Luis Diaz has enjoyed a terrific debut season since joining Bayern Munich in the summer, scoring 26 goals and providing 21 assists for the Bavarians.

Seven of those goals have come in the Champions League, with the Colombian scoring in each of his previous four continental clashes.

What’s more, the ex-Liverpool man has scored in both meetings with the Parisians this season, and appears good value at 6/5 at Paddy Power to get on the scoresheet once again.
