Game Preview
San Antonio Spurs enter this match after a couple of losses to the Warriors, both at home, so they'll be hoping to get back on the winning track against another California team as they prepare to host the Kings. The Spurs are still in a good spot in the Western Conference standings with a record of eight wins and four losses, but they have seemingly cooled off a bit after their hot start of the season.
Meanwhile, Sacramento are on a five-game losing streak and with a 3-10 record so far, they are on track to miss the playoffs once again, something that the Kings' fans are unfortunately used to. While it's still quite early in the season, it's hard to see the Kings turning things around in such a competitive Western Conference.
The Spurs will once again miss Dylan Harper, who is out with a calf injury, while their superstar Victor Wembanyama is questionable with left calf tightness. On the other hand, the Kings are without Keegan Murray who is recovering from a thumb injury, while their key big man Domantas Sabonis is questionable with left ribcage contusion.
Key Matchup: Wembanyama vs Sabonis
While both star big men are listed as questionable ahead of this game, they were both involved in their teams' previous game, so we expect to see them both play this evening. Both Wembanyama and Sabonis have been great this season, especially the young French phenom, so whoever wins this matchup will likely lead their team to victory.
Of course, if either of them ends up missing the game, it will be a huge advantage for their opponents, which is another reason why we see this as the key matchup for tonight.
