WEST HAM UNITED will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to the London Stadium on Sunday.
After toppling Tottenham Hotspur in their own backyard last midweek, the Hammers were brought back down to earth with an almighty bump in a 5-0 thumping at Fulham.
However, David Moyes did get an immediate response from side on Thursday night, with West Ham securing their place in the last 16 of the Europa League with 2-0 win over Freiburg.
The Irons boss will be hoping that victory will act as a springboard for further success when Wolves come calling this weekend.
The visitors will also be looking to get back in the winning groove in the Premier League after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest last weekend.
Gary O’Neil’s side are currently housed in 13th spot but earning three points in east London would see them make inroads on the top half of the table.
Outright Betting
Despite winning just one of their last four Premier League home games, West Ham enter this contest as 6/5 (Ladbrokes) favourites.
Wolves have come away from their last three top-flight road trips empty-handed and the bookies’ odds suggest those away days blues will continue this weekend, with the visitors 9/4 (Bet 365) outsiders while a point apiece has been priced up at 12/5 (PaddyPower).
Betting Angles
Instated of siding with either side in the 1×2 market, a better bet could be to venture into the Both Teams to Score market and back each side to oblige at 4/5 with Bet 365.
BTTS has been the right wager in 13 of West Ham’s 16 Premier League games this season, including five of the Hammers' seven outings at their capital headquarters.
As such, David Moyes' men could struggle to silence a Wolves team that have clearly upped their attacking output under Gary O’Neil’s guidance.
The Old Gold have only failed to score in one of their opening 16 Premier League games of the season, with their solitary blank coming against Manchester United way back on the opening weekend of the season.
However, at the other end of the park the men from Molineux have just two clean sheets to show for their efforts to date, which doesn’t auger well ahead of a fixture with a West Ham side that have netted in 22 of their 24 matches across all competitions this season.
With all that in mind, coupled with the fact that both teams have scored in 26 of the pair’s combined 32 Premier League games this season, a play on BTTS makes plenty of sense at 4/5 (Bet 365).
Moving into the anytime goalscorer market, the 3/1 (Bet 365) on offer for Hee–chan Hwang to hit the back of the net looks too big to ignore.
The South Korea forward already has eight top-flight goals to his name this term and he looks enticingly priced to add to that tally against a leaky West Ham side
