SC Braga will look to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 as they host Union Berlin in a Group C fixture. Berlin are still without a win in the competition and with Braga's only victory coming against the Germans, they will be confident of completing the double on Wednesday.
It has not been the best Champions League campaign for SC Braga, who have picked up just one win from four matches. They were beaten 3-0 by Real Madrid in their previous fixture and look on course to drop into the Europa League.
The good news ahead of Wednesday’s clash is that Braga’s only win in Group C came against Union Berlin. The Portuguese side fought back from two goals down to claim a 3-2 victory in Germany on match-day two.
Beyond the Champions League, Braga’s overall form has been decent in recent weeks as they have suffered just two defeats in their last 12 matches across all competitions. Artur Jorge’s men have picked up eight wins in that run, including a 4-1 victory at Portimonense in a domestic fixture also weekend.
It has been an overall difficult campaign for Union Berlin, who are struggling to find their best form both domestically and in Europe. They are currently in the relegation zone in the Bundesliga and also winless in the Champions League.

The German side may have shown some fight on both occasions but the reality is that they are winless in their last 15 matches across all competitions. Marco Grote’s men have suffered 13 defeats in that run, including a 4-0 hammering at Bayer Leverkusen in their previous away fixture.

SC Braga and Union Berlin met during the group stage of last season’s Europa League with each side claiming a home win. The Portuguese also earned a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture back in October.

Simon Banza has caught the eye in attack for SC Braga and will be the one to watch on Wednesday. The forward scored a hat-trick in the last home fixture and is priced at 19/10 by Unibet to get on the score sheet.
Kevin Volland often features in attack for Union Berlin and could be worth keeping an eye on. The striker was on target last weekend and is priced at 3/1 by William Hill to find the net on Wednesday.
