Rangers will look to make it five consecutive wins in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon as they welcome in-form Falkirk to Ibrox.
Danny Rohl maintained his 100% record in the Scottish Premiership last weekend, as his new side defeated newly-promoted Livingston 2-1 at Ibrox, on an afternoon in which one of my two active selections landed.
That’s now four Premiership wins on the spin for the German, moving them within nine points of leaders Hearts, with a game in hand.
However, the Teddy Bears suffered more European disappointment on Thursday night, as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to 10-man Braga, leaving them five points adrift of the playoff positions.
Falkirk’s impressive return to the Scottish top flight continued last weekend, as they secured a well-deserved 0-3 victory at Tannadice against Dundee United.
John McGlynn’s visitors have now won four and lost just one of their previous six Premiership matches (W4-D1-L1), moving The Bairns up to sixth position in the table, just two points behind their hosts.
How the bookies view it: Rangers favourites
Rangers are expected to make it five Premiership wins on the spin by the bookmakers, with bet365 pricing a home success at just 19/50.
Bet365 have the visitors at 6/1 to make it five wins from their last seven, whilst the draw is 4/1.
Head to head: Gers dominance
This is a fixture Rangers tend to dominate, with The Teddy Bears winning 22 of their previous 28 meetings with Falkirk.
However, the Bairns will take confidence from the fact that they held Rangers to a 1-1 draw at the start of last month in what proved to be Russell Martin’s last game in charge of Rangers.
Players to watch: Tav to find the target again?
James Tavernier continues to be Rangers’ main threat, as his out-swinging corner set up Rangers’ opener against Livingston last weekend, as well as scoring from the spot in their midweek draw with Braga in the Europa League
The Rangers skipper now has seven goals and four assists to his name in all competitions this season, and the Englishman is 13/8 at bet365 to add to his tally on Sunday.
Predicted line-ups:
Rangers will be missing a few players here, with John Souttar, Derek Cornelius, Mikey Moore and Bailey Rice all injured.
Falkirk will once again be without Jamie Sneddon, Coll Donaldson, Tom Lang, Aidan Nesbitt and Ross MacIver through injury.
Rangers: Butland, Tavernier, Djiga, Fernandez, Meghoma, Diomande, Raskin, Aasgaard, Gassama, Danilo, Chermiti
Falkirk: Bain, Adams, Allan, Henderson, Lissah, Spencer, Tait, Wilson, Miller, Williams, Graham
Anything else catch the eye?
Rangers have conceded in each of their previous four Premiership matches at Ibrox – as well as in all three Europa League contests – and I don’t expect them to keep out an in-form Falkirk attack.
The Bairns have failed to score just twice in the league this season, scoring 11 goals in their last six, and I like the look of the 4/5 on offer at Betfred on Both Teams to Score.

Danny Rohl has still managed to win all four Premiership matches, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in three of them, and a repeat pays an appealing 10/11 at BOYLE Sports.
What’s more, 10/13 (77%) of Falkirk’s matches this season have gone Over 2.5 Goals, including 3-0 and 4-0 defeats away to Hearts (1st) and Celtic (2nd) respectively.
