Monaco host Lille in a midweek Ligue 1 fixture so they continue their pursuit of leaders PSG. Monaco have shown some good form in recent weeks and should have the upper hand over Lille, who are a bit erratic on their travels lately.
Monaco are coming off a 2-0 victory at Brest in their previous Ligue 1 fixture. They were largely untroubled for much of the encounter with goals wither side of the break from Denis Zakaria and Takumi Minamino earning them the win.
Sitting 11 points off the pace in the Ligue 1 standings, it is a long shot catching leaders PSG at the stage of the season. However, Monaco continue to maintain their good form and ate unbeaten in their last seven matches, claiming five wins in that run.

Lille were also victorious last time out in Ligue 1 as they triumphed 1-0 over Strasbourg. Jonathan David struck the only goal early in the first half and they were able to hold on for the win.
That was the third straight win for Lille, who are also showing some good form in recent weeks. They are currently fourth on the standings and can leapfrog Monaco with a win on Wednesday.
A slight problem for Lille heading into Wednesday’ clash is their inconsistency on their travels. Paulo Fonseca’a men have picked up just two wins in their last 10 Ligue 1 fixtures on the road.

Monaco have a 20-15 advantage with 16 draws from 51 previous matches against Lille. However, Lille claimed a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in October.
Players to watch
Wisaam Ben Yedder is the leading scorer for Monaco with 11 Ligue 1 goals and will be the one to watch on Wednesday. The French striker is priced at 13/10 by bet365 to get on the score sheet.
Jonathan David has 17 Ligue 1 goals this season and could be worth keeping an eye on for Lille. The forward had been on target in his last two Ligue 1 matches and is priced at 13/8 by Unibet to maintain his scoring run.
