HIBERNIAN and Rangers round off the Scottish Premiership weekend when they lock horns at Easter Road on Sunday lunchtime.
The Hibees played out a goalless draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie last Saturday, though they should have pocketed all three points after Kevin Nisbet failed to convert from the penalty spot.
Despite that stalemate, Lee Johnson's side are still fighting it out with Aberdeen, Hearts and St Mirren as they look to secure a European place.
The capital club are currently in the midst of a four-match unbeaten run but they'll be hard pressed if they are to extend that sequence when Rangers come to town.
Michael Beale finally ended his Old Firm hoodoo as his side earned a comfortable 3-0 win when hosting fierce rivals Celtic last weekend.
That triumph will have the Ibrox faithful looking forward with optimism ahead of next season and they will be keen to continue their strong finish to the campaign by collecting three points in the capital.
Outright Betting
Hibernian and Rangers shared the spoils at Easter Road earlier in the season and the same outcome here can be backed at 16/5 (William Hill) while the hosts are as big as 5/1 (Betfred) to claim top honours
Despite losing each of their last Scottish Premiership away games, Rangers arrive in Leith as short-priced 8/15 (Bet 365) favourites.
Betting Angles
Goals could well be on the agenda at Easter Road and with that in mind, I'll couple up Over 2.5 Goals with Over 6 Match Corners to bring about a backable 17/20 (Bet 365) shot.
Both of these teams rely heavily on their attacking quality and that is evidenced by the fact that Hibs have only failed to score in two of their 17 home games this season, while Rangers have only fired a blank twice across their 35 top-flight outings this term to date.
What's more, games involving these two sides have been filled with goals this season, with each of the previous three meetings ending 2-2, 3-2 and 1-4, a sample that has delivered a whopping average of 4.6 goals per-game.
It's also worth pointing out that Over 2,5 Goals has been a winning bet in 20 of the Hibees' 35 league games this season, as well as a hefty 25 of the Light Blues.
Taking all of this into account, I'm more than happy to side with three or more goals here, but to boost the odds, I'll also go with over six match corners.
These two teams are amongst the division when it comes to earning corners, with Hibernian averaging 5.40 per-game, while Rangers tally sits at 7.20, so backing the pair to combine for 7+ flag kicks doesn't look like too much of an ask given the attacking nature of the sides.
Additionally, this 17/20 (Bet 365) Bet Builder would banked in each of the previous meetings between the pair this season, all of which adds to the appeal of siding with the same combination in the capital.
On a similar line of reasoning to the above, I'll also back Hibs to hit at a minimum of four corners at 4/5 with Bet 365.
Lee Johnson's side have covered the 4+ line in two of their three meetings with Rangers this season and they look worthy of interest to follow suit on Sunday.
