The result means Chelsea have now picked up just one win from their last four Premier League matches as they seem unable to build any kind of momentum. They remain 10th on the table and a pointer to how poor Mauricio Pochettino’s men have been this season is that they would have been below Everton on the table but for the Toffees 10-point deduction.
Chelsea have also found things difficult on their recent travels, suffering defeats in their last two away matches. The Blues were beaten 4-1 at Newcastle prior to their defeat at Old Trafford in midweek.
