TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR will be looking to strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League standings when they square off with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Friday night.
Spurs have stolen a march on the rest of the division by opening the campaign with their best start to a top-flight season for more than 60 years.
Last time out, Ange Postecoglou’s side returned to the summit with a 2-0 win over Fulham, on a night where both of my bets landed in north London.
Postecoglou’s pacesetters will now be presented with the opportunity to move five points clear of the chasing pack – at least temporarily – when they make the short trip across the capital on Friday night.
As for 11th-placed Crystal Palace, they put in an uncharacteristically poor defensive display when losing 4-0 at Newcastle last Saturday.

Despite their mighty impressive start to the season, Spurs are a tad short for my liking here so I’ll get creative and combine Tottenham Double Chance, Under Five Match Goals and Heung-min Son to have a shot on target at 4/5 (Bet 365).
Only Tottenham and Arsenal have yet to taste defeat in the Premier League season and Ange Postecoglou’s side are certainly capable of avoiding a first setback of the campaign when they come up against a Crystal Palace side that have won just three of their opening nine league games of the season.
That being said, the Eagles are always tough a nut to crack at home, so much so that I’m going to opt for a bit of added insurance with Tottenham on the Double Chance.
Given that a sizable 16 of the pair’s 18 top-flight futures combined this season have featured four match goals or fewer, I’ll also side with under five match strikes at Selhurst Park.
What’s more, after shipping four at Newcastle last weekend, Roy Hogson will almost certainly have been putting his side through their paces in training this week with a view to regaining the defensive solidity that has served them so well during his multiple spells in the Selhurst Park dugout
