Crystal Palace vs Everton

, KO: 14:00 , Selhurst Park
Everton

Everton will look to give their European qualification hopes a boost as they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Conference League finalists Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Crystal Palace reached their first-ever European final on Thursday night, as they secured a 5-2 aggregate success over Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-finals of the Conference League.

Oliver Glasner’s men secured a 1-3 victory away from home in the first leg – on an evening my BOTD landed – before winning the return leg 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Thursday night.

The Eagles do come into this clash off the back of consecutive defeats to Liverpool and Bournemouth, but they are unbeaten in each of their last four in front of their supporters.

Everton saw their winless streak extend to four matches last time out, as they conceded twice late on to draw 3-3 at home to title-chasing Manchester City.

That result leaves David Moyes’s men in 10th position in the Premier League table, just four points behind sixth-placed Bournemouth.

How the bookies view it: Everton slight favourites

Despite being winless in each of their last four Premier League outings, Everton are favourites to leave the capital with all three points, with bet365 pricing an away success at 8/5.

Palace are 9/5 to put a halt to their two-game losing run in the Premier League, whilst the draw is 23/10.

Head to head: Toffees 10 unbeaten

Everton are unbeaten in each of their previous 10 meetings with Crystal Palace (W7-D3-L0), winning each of their last three by a 2-1 scoreline and a repeat can be backed at 10/1 at bet365.

Players to watch: Kiernan to carry on scoring?

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has proven to be an excellent acquisition from Chelsea last summer for the Toffees, as he scored eight goals and provided eight assists in the Premier League.

The English midfielder has a goal contribution in five of his last eight appearances – including goals in Everton’s last two away from home against Brentford and West Ham United – and is an appealing 7/4 to Score or Assist at bet365.

Predicted line-ups:

Crystal Palace will still be missing the injured Cheick Doucoure, Evann Guessand and Eddie Nketiah, whilst Borna Sosa is a doubt.

Everton will be missing the injured duo Jarrad Branthwaite and Jack Grealish, whilst Idrissa Gana Gueye is a doubt.

Crystal Palace: Henderson, Canvot, Lacroix, Richards, Munoz, Wharton, Lerma, Mitchell, Pino, Sarr, Strand Larsen

Everton: Pickford, O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko, Iroegbunam, Garner, Rohl, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye, Barry

Anything else catch the eye?

It’s unclear whether Crystal Palace will heavily rotate here after qualifying for the Conference League final on Thursday night, but there’s a good chance we will see some goals at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Both Teams to Score has paid out in five of Everton’s last six away from home in the Premier League – as well as in each of their last four across all venues – and a repeat pays 4/5 at Betfred.

Over 2.5 Goals has also landed in each of the Toffees’ last five – and given the same has landed in eight of Palace’s previous nine in all competitions – the 1/1 on offer at bet365 for a repeat also appeals.
