After making it four winners from my last five BOTD columns at Ibrox on Sunday, Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the European semi-final ties, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Crystal Palace travel to neutral Poland to take on Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of their Conference League playoff tie in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Arda Turan’s hosts have fired in 22 goals across their opening 12 Conference League fixtures this campaign, with eight (36%) of them coming at ‘home’.
The Miners have blanked in just one of those 12 Conference League encounters – impressively scoring 2+ in eight of their past 10 – and will look to breach a Palace backline that has conceded in each of their last three and four of their previous five continental clashes on their travels.
After scoring just three goals across their opening four European matches this campaign, Oliver Glasner’s visitors have scored 18 goals across their next 10.
The Eagles have failed to score in just one of their previous 10 European encounters – scoring 2+ goals in six (60%) of them – and will look to breach a Shakhtar defence that has kept just four clean sheets in the Conference League this term.
