Brighton vs Everton

, KO: 15:00 , Amex Stadium
Everton

Both seeking to return to winning ways in the Premier League, Brighton and Everton will square off at the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Fabian Hurzeler's hosts are now without a league win in three matches following last week's 2-1 defeat at Fulham, in a game that brought up two of my three selections.

That last-gasp loss at Craven Cottage has seen the Seagulls slide down to 12th place in the top-flight standings.

Seeking to bounce back from that bruising setback at the first attempt, Brighton will entertain Everton this weekend.

After claiming a 1-0 win away at Aston Villa in their last Premier League away match, David Moyes' men were unable to build on that victory when being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds on Monday night.

The stalemate sees the Toffees enter the latest round of Premier League action occupying 10th place in the table, two places and three points above their hosts.

How the bookies view it: Brighton to bank the points

Despite posting just one win across their last 10 Premier League matches, Brighton come into this clash as firm 5/6 favourites with bet365.

Everton are as big as 10/3 with Betfred to emerge from the Amex victorious on Saturday, while the draw is unfancied at 13/5 with the same bookmaker.

Head to head: Everton have the edge

Everton hold the advantage in the overall head-to-head record, winning eight of the 17 meetings compared to Brighton’s five, while the other four encounters ended all square.

This season's reverse fixture saw Everton run out 2-0 winners, and the same scoreline on Saturday has been priced up at a whopping 22/1 on bet365.

Players to watch: Danny to deliver?

With eight goals across his 22 Premier League appearances this season, Danny Welbeck looks decent value to get on the scoresheet on Saturday at 17/10 with BetMGM.

Iliman Ndiaye was fouled twice during Everton's 1-1 draw with Leeds on Monday night, and a repeat looks worth siding with here at 10/11 with bet365.

Predicted line-ups

As was the case last weekend, Brighton are expected to be without Adam Webster, Mats Wieffer, Solly March and Stefanos Tzimas.

Everton's injury issues are beginning to ease, although Jack Grealish remains ruled out long term and Tim Iroegbunam is a doubt. Michael Keane is back in contention after serving a three-match suspension.

Brighton: Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Van Hecke, De Cuyper; Ayari, Gross; Gruda, Gomez, Mitoma; Welbeck

Everton: Pickford; O'Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Garner, Guye; Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, McNeil; Barry

Anything else catch the eye?

Backing both teams to get on the scoresheet looks more than fair at 4/5 with Ladbrokes.

There have been goals at both ends in 15 of Brighton's 23 Premier League matches this season, including eight of their 11 assignments in front of their own supporters.

While Everton aren't as prolific on the BTTS front, this selection would have paid out in three of their last four top-flight fixtures.

Elsewhere, Brighton rack up plenty of corners at home and could be worth backing to hit six or more on Saturday at 4/5 with bet365.
