ASTON VILLA will be aiming to get their Premier League top four push back on track by earning a win against Wolves at Villa Park on Saturday evening.
Unai Emery's side are currently occupying fourth spot in the standings, however they have only collected one point from their last two matches.
That solitary point was picked up against West Ham in a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium ahead of the recent international break.
As such, Villa currently sit three points in front of fifth-placed Tottenham and therefore can ill -afford any slip-ups when they go up against Midlands rivals Wolves this weekend.
Currently housed inside the top half of the table, the Old Gold have exceeded expectations in the Premier League this season.
That being said, Wolves will be licking their wounds following their dramatic 3-2 loss at home to Coventry in the FA Cup a fortnight ago.
Outright Betting
Aston Villa, who are winless in their last six meetings with Wolves, are odds-on 4/6 favourites with Betfred.
Despite winning three of their last four Premier League matches, Wolves are big outsiders at 4/1 (Bet 365) while a Villa Park stalemate has been priced up at 7/2 (Bet 365).

Backing an Aston Villa side that have lost three of their last four home games makes little appeal so I'll dip into the Bet Builder and package up Aston Villa to Score, Youri Tielemans to Commit a Foul and Over 2 Match Cards at 4/5 (Bet 365).
Whilst Villa's strong home form seems to have deserted them of late, they do tend to make the net bulge more often than not when playing in front of their own supporters.
Admittedly, Unai Emery's side blanked in their last home match against Tottenham, however they had struck in each of their previous 26 top-flight home games and they can rediscover their scoring touch against a Wolves side that is far from watertight.
