That result means Arsenal remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season, although they have dropped to third on the standings, two points behind Tottenham Hotspur. They followed up that draw with a Champions League win as goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus gave them a 2-1 victory over Sevilla on Tuesday.
While Arsenal are unbeaten in the Premier League, Emirates Stadium has been a particularly solid hunting ground as they have won three of their last four home matches across all competitions. Defensive solidity has been pivotal to that run as Mikel Arteta’s men have kept two clean sheets in their last three matches in front of their fans.
In contrast to Arsenal’s high flying form, Sheffield United have been woeful this season as they appear to be struggling with the quality of the topflight. Paul Heckingbottom’s men are still winless after nine matches and have spent much of the season rooted to the foot of the table.
