Monday’s football tips: Go for goals at 5/4 as Notts County battle Cheltenham in League Two

We're heading into the international break so there's slim picking for punters today, with a League Two clash between Cheltenham Town and Notts County taking top billing.

The title race in England's fourth tier is wide open, with just seven points separating leaders Walsall from Fleetwood Town down in 13th place.

Notts County sit eighth after Saturday's games but a win tonight would fire them five places up the table and leave them just two points off the title pace.

Cheltenham Town vs Notts County top betting tips

Cheltenham find themselves sitting third bottom, just a point above the relegation zone, but their form has actually been decent of late.

Town have lost just one of their last seven in all competitions and they beat League One high fliers Bradford 1-0 in the FA Cup last weekend.

So their tails will be up for this one and they could be worth a punt in the double chance at 4/5 with BOYLE Sports.

County were shocked by minnows Brackley in the FA Cup and also lost to Manchester United's kids in the EFL Trophy in midweek.

But they won 5-3 in Cheltenham last term so going for goals might be the best option for this one. Over 2.5 strikes is decent at 20/23 with BOYLE Sports while adding on BTTS boosts the odds to 5/4.

Gimnasia vs Velez Sarsfield

There's some top-flight action in Argentina tonight as Gimnasia look to boost their play-off hopes by beating Velez Sarsfield.

Velez have already sealed their place in the next round but Gimnasia still have some work to do and will be out to bank three precious points.

They sit just outside the top eight in Zone B of the Torneo Clasura and need to start climbing the table.

Gimnasia head into this game on a high after an excellent win away to River Plate while Velez lost 1-0 at home to Talleres de Cordoba.

That makes me think Gimnasia look like the value bet tonight at 11/4 with BOYLE Sports, especially as their opponents have nothing to play for.

BTTS and over 2.5 goals have both failed to land in each of the last two games for both teams so I'd be surprised if we saw a lot of goals.

Under 2.5 strikes only pays a measly 4/11 at BOYLE Sports and betting against BTTS isn't much better at 11/20. Combining them takes you to 4/6 at Bet365.

Burgos vs Castellon

Burgos are bang in the hunt for promotion in Spain's second tier and they will be confident of banking three more precious points at home to Castellon tonight.

The minnows have made an incredible rise up from the regional leagues since 1995 and have spent the last four seasons in the Segunda Division.

They've never finished higher than ninth but stand a great chance of going up after losing just three of their opening 12 games.

Castellon find themselves in the lower reaches of the table so Burgos look pretty good value at 7/5 for a win tonight, having come out on top in their last four games in all competitions.

The caveat is that Castellon won both meetings last season but they've only claimed one victory in their last five matches.

BTTS has landed in three of the last four for Burgos so there could also be some value in backing that tonight at 5/4 with BOYLE Sports.
