Fallen Norwegian giants Rosenborg are a bit too close to the drop zone for comfort and will be looking to bank three precious points when they host fellow strugglers Fredrikstad this evening.
Norway's most successful club haven't won the title since 2018 and that trend will continue for another season as they find themselves at the wrong end of the table.
Fredrikstad sit two places and just a point behind Rosenborg so there's a lot at stake as both teams look to ease their relegation worries.
Rosenborg vs Fredrikstad top betting tips
Rosenborg have been in decent form of late, with back-to-back 3-0 wins making it three games without defeat in the Eliteserien.
The other game in that run was a 2-2 draw with title-chasing Bodo/Glimt so they look worthy 8/11 favourites with Bet365 tonight.
Fredrikstad's form has been trending in the other direction, with defeats in their last two games. But it took a penalty for Bodo/Glimt to beat them last Friday so this could be a tight one.
I'm going to back Rosenborg to edge this and combining the home win with under 4.5 goals boosts their odds to evens at Bet365.
That bet landed in both meetings last term and those matches hit double figures for corners. So over 11 flag kicks could pay off tonight, with that bet paying 11/8.
Hacken vs AIK
There's one game in Sweden's top flight tonight and it's a crucial one in the battle for European places as Hacken host AIK.
Hacken currently sit just two points ahead of AIK so there's a lot at stake tonight as plenty of teams jostle for position in the Allsvenskan.
The hosts have only lost two games all season but those defeats came back-to-back earlier this month. They recovered to beat Halmstads 2-0 in their last outing and are 79/100 favourites tonight with home advantage.
AIK are 3/1 outsiders but that price seems a bit off as they're in excellent form. The side from Solna have won four of their last five so could offer some value tonight at 10/11 in the double chance.
Last season's head-to-head also supports that view, with both games ending in draws. They were 2-2 and 3-3 thrillers so over 1.5 first-half goals also appeals at 6/5 with Bet365.
Randers vs Silkeborg
For our final game today we're off to Denmark, where Randers' clash with Silkeborg brings the curtain down on the opening round of Superliga fixtures.
Both teams struggled for consistency last season and only just avoided the drop after the league split in two.
Randers finished just a point ahead of relegated Fredericia while Silkeborg only ended up two points clear of the danger zone.
That points towards a close encounter tonight, with Silkeborg only just edging the head to head last term, with two wins, a draw and a defeat.
BTTS failed to land in any of those matches so betting against it could pay off tonight at 11/10 with Bet365. I also like the half-time draw and that pays 11/8 with the same firm.
