Welcome back to MFT’s 10-1,000 betting challenge, where we aim for a 100x return on the original investment via a small stake betting strategy, prioritising low risk and low odds en route to a long-term target.

While this column is dedicated to high-probability tips, there is no guarantee of profit. If playing along, you should consider your own budget and confidence in the tip provided, and make your own decision whether to follow, cash out or continue at every stage. 18+, please gamble responsibly.

We will use a unit system for our stakes, allowing readers to set their own unit value that suits their own budget. For the sake of simplicity, for us, 1 unit = £1.

We will continue to transparently track our progress as far as we go on the path to 1,000, but will refresh our main tracking stake back to the starting point every time we surpass 100 units – a 10x ROI.

For the sake of consistency, all tips are placed using odds from bet365. It worth pointing out that with Bet365 we can paid out if our selection goes into a lead by two or more goals.

St Patrick drew yesterday, so our DNB was a push, so we remain on Bet 7.

Bet 7 – Celtic vs Dundee – Monday 3rd August at 8pm

Celtic should have too much for Dundee FC on Monday, and the gap shows up in almost every metric available. Last season Celtic averaged 2.18 xG per match against just 0.97 conceded, while Dundee FC managed only 0.99 xG and shipped 1.64 per game, a swing of well over a goal a match in Celtic's favour.

Big chances tell the same story, Celtic created 3.55 per game, the most in the Premiership, while Dundee FC created just 1.47, one of the lowest totals in the division.

The shot data reinforces it further, Celtic averaging 16.39 shots and 5.55 on target per 90 minutes last season against Dundee FC's 10.03 and 3.26.

Team news only widens the picture, Imari Samuels is out and Callum Jones is still building fitness for Dundee FC, while Celtic add Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran to a front line already among the most productive in the league, even with Liam Scales suspended.

History backs the same conclusion; Celtic have won 15 of their last 19 home league games and lost just once in their last 50 meetings with Dundee FC. Every underlying number, recent head-to-head, and team news detail points toward a home win.

  • Bet: Celtic win
  • Odds: 1/5
