Last Player Standing betting tips for Premier League game week 3

Last Player Standing is a betting competition where a group of people each put in a stake and predict one team to win in a competition each week.

If that team wins, they progress into the next round. If they draw or lose, they are eliminated.

Each team can only be picked once throughout the game. For example, if you pick Liverpool to win in week one, you cannot pick them again during that edition of Last Player Standing.

The goal is to be the final player left at the end of it all. The winner takes the full pot.

This weekend, Manchester City host newly-promoted Coventry City, pointless Spurs travel to Nottingham Forest, Manchester United head to Merseyside to take on Everton, whilst champions Arsenal round off the weekend with a London derby at home to Chelsea.

Manchester City will look to maintain their 100% start to the Premier League season as they welcome newly-promoted Coventry City to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Enzo Maresca looked as if he was going to drop points in his opening game in charge of the Citizens, as they trailed Bournemouth by a goal to nil – but a couple of late strikes from Marc Guehi and Josko Gvardiol ensured the Italian made a winning start.

The Citizens would then back that victory up with a 1-4 win at Selhurst Park thanks to a couple of braces from Rayan Cherki and who else, but Erling Haaland.
Coventry, in contrast, are still searching for their first Premier League point in 25 years, having lost each of their opening two matches.

Frank Lampard’s visitors fell to an expected 3-0 defeat at the Emirates against champions Arsenal in their opener – but they would’ve felt extremely disappointed in their next match losing at home to fellow newly-promoted side Hull City.

With everything considered, this should be a straightforward win for Manchester City.

MFT’s top Last Player Standing pick: Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton will look to bounce back from their entertaining defeat at Stamford Bridge last time out as they welcome unbeaten Leeds United to the AMEX on Saturday afternoon.

Brighton began their Premier League campaign with an emphatic 4-0 victory at home to Aston Villa, before sealing their place in the league phase of the Conference League after beating Norwegian side Tromso by the same scoreline four days later.

However, the Seagulls failed to extend their unbeaten start to the campaign, as they were on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller in West London against Chelsea.

Leeds began their Premier League season by ending their City Ground hoodoo, as a late Anton Stach free kick secured their first league victory at Forest since the 1971/72 season.

Daniel Farke’s men required another late goal in their next outing, as last season’s top-scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalised to rescue a point at home to Brentford.

Brighton have won four of their last five Premier League fixtures in front of their supporters – as well as each of their last three at home to Leeds – and I’m hoping that trend continues on Saturday.
